With Great Gratitude

Next weekend, I will mark the 29th anniversary of my ordination as a Catholic Priest, in 1994. It will also be the start of my 10th year as your pastor at St. Joseph Catholic Church. As I reflect upon this milestone, I remember how grateful I am to be a Priest. That God would call me to represent Him is a marvel in itself. I believe I’ve served Christ well over the years. Of course, I am nowhere near perfect. I’m just striving for heaven, as we all are.

I give thanks for the Faith, and for my faith in Jesus Christ! I am proud to bear testimony that He is the living Christ, and the only Savior of mankind. In doing so I recognize how blessed I am to be a priest. It makes me happy, and brings me joy to live out the role I’ve been called to. Part of that role is to express how appreciative I am for each and every one of you, the people of Saint Joseph’s church. It has been, and remains a great joy to serve you and to know you – thank you!

We should all take a moment to be grateful for our health, the Faith, our church, family, and friends, while we thank Jesus for His blessings on us. May God continue to bless us all as we strive for heaven.
