Respect Life of St. Joseph Catholic Church makes parishioners aware of pro-life issues and needs by promoting the support of mothers everywhere, praying for the protection of the unborn, and participating in the Right to Life Chain on the first Sunday of October. A baby bottle promotion is held in the spring as a fundraiser to support First Way Life Center in Johnsburg. Each year this ministry supports the Right to Life booth at the McHenry County Fair in Woodstock, IL.

Our parish supports the 1st Way Life Center in Johnsburg, Illinois, an organization dedicated to helping mothers in need of support. We conduct a Spiritual Adoption Program with 1st Way that concludes with a baby shower to collect items needed for new mothers at First Way. Respect Life relies on the support from parish representatives from the adult and youth groups, religious education team, & clergy. With their assistance, monthly Respect Life banners have been purchased and displayed in front of our church.
