At our New Year’s Masses in honor of our Lady, I spoke about Pope Francis dedicating 2021 as the Year of Saint Joseph and the Holiness of Families. We all know that Saint Joseph was the protector of the Holy Family. That truth extends to all of our families. This is why I am asking all our families and every parishioner to pray the Litany to Saint Joseph at least once a week, if not more.

Our families are under demonic and worldly attack. We need to push back against those influences. We need to fight and pray to keep our families holy and safe. Saint Joseph, terror of demons and protector of families, is the united prayer we must employ. Lift up your family to Saint Joseph. Pray for your children, the young ones and the older ones, and your grandchildren too, so they may be edified and strengthened in Christ through the intercession of Saint Joseph.

Enclosed in this bulletin is the Litany of St Joseph, and accompanying prayers. We will provide it this way every month so you are regularly reminded of our dedication to this great Saint throughout the year. Saying it takes about five minutes. Five minutes closer to heaven. Five minutes of holy protection for our families and loved ones.

Please be assured of my prayers for you and for your families. United together with Saint Joseph and the Blessed Mother, our families will grow happier, holier, and more loving. They won’t be perfect, but each active devotion will bring us one step closer to perfection. May God Bless our endeavors!

O God, in your ineffable providence you were pleased to choose Blessed Joseph to be the spouse of your most holy Mother; grant, we beg you, that we may be worthy to have him for our intercessor in heaven whom on earth we venerate as our Protector: You who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

Remember, O most chaste Spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession was left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power, I fly unto you, and beg your protection.

Despise not, O foster-father of the Redeemer, my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.
