The Fifth Sunday of Lent

The 5th Sunday of Lent is when I remind you, that if you haven’t gone to Confession or Reconciliation yet, the time is nigh! Here are your remailing opportunities to lighten your burden at St. Joseph Church.

Wednesday, March 29—Be Reconciled Day
This is a Diocese-of-Rockford-wide event. The times for Confession at St. Joseph’s are after the 8 AM mass until 9:30 AM, 12 Noon until 1 PM, and 7 to 8 PM. All doors are open and I will be waiting.

Saturday, April 1—1st Saturday
Confessions are offered after the 8 AM St. Peregrine Devotional Mass for those affected by Cancer, then at the regular time from 4 PM to 4:30 PM.

Tuesday, April 4—2nd to Last Chance Opportunity
Confessions 7 PM to 8 PM in the church.

Wednesday, April 5—Very Last Chance Opportunity
Confessions 7 PM to 8 PM in the church.

I hope that you will avail yourself of these opportunities at our Parish, or seek Confession somewhere else before Easter Sunday. I can not say this enough, going to Confession is important for the salvation of your soul. It gets us right with the Lord as we celebrate the greatest gift, which is having an eternal life with Him.
