My mom turns 83 in September. She gave birth to me 59 years ago at the age of 24. I am number 4 of 8, and, we were quite the handful. But, she did a great job teaching us life lessons, disciplining us when we deserved it, and, showing us how to live with a sense of joy amongst the struggles of family life, school and friendships. I will always be very grateful for my mother and all she continues to do for me.
This Mother’s Day, let us be grateful for our mothers. Those who are no longer with us, as well as, those who are still with us. We children sometimes forget the sacrifices, struggles and mistakes of our parents. They helped to shape us into the person we are today. One day, in which we can focus on such genuine love, is Mother’s Day. So, pray for your mom. Be especially good to her today. Thank her for her sacrifices for you and her vocation to motherhood. Do whatever you are doing today with real love and sincere gratitude. Our mothers deserve it! Happy Mother’s Day Mom and all moms!
