Happy Thanksgiving

Am I grateful enough?  This should be a normal reflection for a Christian.  A spirit of thanksgiving needs to be a basic part of our spiritual development, our striving toward Heaven.  God has blest us with so many things:  health (although burdensome at times), a place to dwell and be safe, food to strengthen the body, the Faith so to give honest and real worship to God, friends and family to walk with us on the journey, some financial security, and the gift of love that comes from knowing and serving God.  Not a bad set of blessings.

Many more examples can be added to this list.  So, am I grateful enough?  Thanksgiving is a great day to appreciate all the gifts we have.  To have a heart of Thanksgiving is essential to our character:  mind, body and soul

So, this Thanksgiving, be more grateful.  Don’t whine about what you do not have, highlight what matters most.  Honor God with a spirit of gratitude.  Reflect what He has given us in our conversations and fellowship.  I firmly believe that the feast will be enhanced by such an attitude.

May this Thanksgiving teach us to always be grateful, both in times of plenty and in times of challenge.  God bless you and God bless America!
