“The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ.  A faith believed and lived as the central truth by the first Christian community; handed on as fundamental by Tradition; established by the documents of the New Testament; and preached as an essential part of the Paschal mystery along with the cross.” (CCC 638)

Easter, even beyond Christmas, is the core teaching of our Faith.  St. Paul says that if we do not believe that Christ is risen from the dead, then our faith and hope is in vain!  Not only that, the Resurrection is the promise of Heaven—eternal life with God.  At the Resurrection (when Christ comes again), all those who have died will rise again and receive their bodies, however, in a glorified (transformed and perfected) form.  This is joyous news.  I don’t know about you, but, this gives me hope to endure the struggles, pains  and happinesses of this life.  God thinks we’re worth it—so, live with this hope and promise:  Christ is Risen from the dead—Alleluia!
