Today we see God’s plan for us. Colored eggs, peeps, jelly, beans, ham, chocolate, multiple eggs, fun, food, and… wait!

As fun as all this seems, the real plan is- God loves us and wants us to go to Heaven. This is why He took on human flesh, suffered and died for us, rose from the dead, and now has opened the gates of Eternal Life to us: The reason for Easter is our belief and hope in the resurrection and in the promise from Almighty God, that you and I will share in this great miracle and promise.

All the other parts of the celebration of Easter are great (especially a good ham). However, it has only an empty meaning if it is absent the Resurrection. We believe that Jesus Christ, who is God, rose from the dead. He has conquered death, overcome the decay of sin, and has put into us such a sweet fragrance that God cannot refuse it. The resurrection is our promise and heritage. We are His children, and we will share in this wonderful grace when He returns.

So I suggest that you live well, enjoy your Easter, and always ponder on the higher things! Happy Easter!
