Bible Study & Homilies

I want to invite you to this fall’s Bible Study on the Letters of St. Peter (1 & 2).  I will be giving the talks on the next 6 Monday evenings in the church from 7-8:00 p.m.—so bring a Bible to walk along.  This is one great way to broaden and deepen your faith and to learn more about the Bible, the early Church and why it means so much to us today.  If you cannot come every week, the talks are being recorded for our parish web page:  stjosephrichmondil.weconnect.com.  This is a great way to deepen your love for Christ as you drive to work or chase about.  See you on Mondays!

Many times people ask for a copy of my homilies.  Unfortunately, I haven’t written a homily to page in over 22 years.  (It probably shows.)  However, all the homilies are on our parish web page:  stjosephrichmondil.weconnect.com.  So, if you don’t want to count sheep, you can lull yourself to sleep by listening to the homilies before bed or maybe there is material worth re-hearing.  Seriously, I know they can be very helpful—so, praise God and renew your faith.

Finally, the weekly budget for offertory is $4,250.00.  This covers our weekly staff salaries and bills for the parish.  We make very little beyond this weekly collection.

I’m asking you to be consistent in your giving by helping to meet our weekly goal.  I appreciate your sacrifice and prayers.  This is a great parish.  Let’s keep it strong and fruitful in the Lord.
