Reminders about our Sunday Mass and Church Use Procedures designed to help us avoid the spread of Corona Virus.
For those attending Mass without entering the Church, please keep the following in mind:
We will continue to live-stream the Vigil Mass on our Facebook Page, and provide an audio simulcast of the Masses to our parking lot at 90.3FM, for those who are either reluctant to enter the Church or feel it isn't prudent at this time because of health risks.
Persons who wish to receive communion without entering the Church will do so after the Mass is complete by lining up at the Church School Entrance along Liberty Street. Handicapped persons should park along the North side of the Church and communion will be brought to your car after it is provided to those at the Church School Entrance.
For those entering the Church for Mass, please keep the following in mind:
When you enter the Church, use the West doors (those closest to the Altar). Handicapped persons should utilize the doors adjacent to the courtyard on the North Side of the Church. The door marked with the handicapped symbol leads to the elevator. Before entering you should be wearing a suitable mask appropriately. We recomend that all persons sanitize their hands upon entering. Hand sanitizer is located at all doors.
After entering, proceed to the registration stand at the front of the Church. If you have pre-registered, check off that you are in attendance. Otherwise fill in your name and contact information for everyone in your party.
Available seating for individuals is marked with blue tape crosses. Those from the same household may sit closer. Do not sit in pews blocked by rope closures.
When approaching the altar for communion, do your best to keep socially distanced. You may violate the recomended six foot separation briefly as everyone will be wearing a mask. To make sure distance is maintained, everyone in each pew must process to the front of the Church. If not receiving communion, place your arms across your chest and the Priest or Deacon will give you a blessing instead. It is recomened that Communion be received in the hand and that the recipient step to the side before lifting their mask to place the Eucharist in their mouth. If receiving by mouth, we ask that you kneel on the kneeler and lower your mask so you may present yourself in the most accessible way to the Priest or Deacon. As soon as the Host is in your mouth, raise your mask.
After Mass, you are to exit to the rear of the Church, away from the Altar. The disinfection by volunteers will begin and we would like to make it as quick a process as possible. For this reason, we would like extended prayer to occur before Mass. Before leaving the Church we recomend applying hand sanitizer and removing your mask once outside.
For those entering the Church for confession, please keep the following in mind:
Confessions are heard in the Church confessional which is now upgraded with a protective acrylic screen, increased ventilation, and communication aids. Please sanitize your hands before entering the confessional and after leaving. While waiting, make sure you are distanced appropriately.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation as we continue making the sacraments available in the safest way possible.
