Respect Life makes parishioners more aware of pro-life issues and needs. Respect Life promotes and participates in the Right to Life Chain the first Sunday of October located in front of St. Joseph Church. A baby bottle promotion is held in October as a fundraiser to support First Way Life Center in Johnsburg. A Spiritual Adoption Program has been held and concluded with a baby shower to collect items needed for new mothers at First Way. Each year this ministry supports the Right to Life booth at the McHenry County Fair in Woodstock, IL.
Respect Life relies on the support from parish representatives from the adult and youth groups, religious education team, & clergy. With their assistance, monthly Respect Life banners have been purchased and displayed in front of our church.

Good and gracious God,
You speak to us in the Scriptures that you knew each of us while we were still in our mother's womb. You already know each child now in their mother's wombs. We humbly ask you to bless these women as they carry their children lovingly, as you carry each of us in your goodness.
Bless these women and their husbands as they prepare for the birth of their children. Give them strength when they tire, and protect them when they falter.
We ask for your blessing on all expectant mothers and fathers in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Dear St. Joseph Catholic Church Parishioners,
We are so grateful at 1st Way Life Center for your support of our mission. You generously gave $1,883.91 through the Baby Bottle Drive to help us serve our young moms and babies in need. The number of moms that we serve has increased this year. We serve on an average 96 clients each month with education, clothing, diapers, counseling and referrals. Please keep us in your prayers and thank you for helping us in this work.
Blessings to you from all the volunteers at 1st Way Life Center.
